Naughty Dog confirms Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will be fully revealed in 2027. Neil Druckmann also teases two new The Last of Us projects.

Naughty Dog studio head Neil Druckmann has confirmed that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will be “fully revealed” in 2027. He also teased two new The Last of Us projects that will “expand the canon beyond Part I and Part II.”

Here’s everything we know.

What Did Neil Druckmann Announce?

Druckmann gave updates on Naughty Dog’s projects during “The Last of Us Day.”

Writing on the Naughty Dog blog, Druckmann thanked fans for raising over $11,000 for AbleGamers. He then addressed the studio’s ongoing projects.

Regarding The Last of Us, Druckmann confirmed two new projects are in “very early stages.” Both will “expand the canon of The Last of Us beyond Part I and Part II.”

He did not confirm whether either project is a game.

When Will Intergalactic Be Revealed?

Naughty Dog will fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in 2027.

Druckmann said the studio will stay quiet for the rest of 2026. But “in 2027, that changes.”

“We’ll fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and give you a proper look at Jordan’s wild sci-fi adventure,” he said.

He called it Naughty Dog’s most ambitious project yet.

Why the Delay?

Druckmann asked fans for patience, acknowledging the long wait.

“There’s an electricity around the studio right now as all the pieces come together,” he said. “But… we need to cook for just a little bit longer.”

The comment may address frustration from fans who expected Intergalactic at the recent Sony State of Play.

What About The Last of Us HBO Series?

The HBO adaptation will wrap up with its upcoming third season.

That’s all Druckmann confirmed about the show.

The Verdict

Intergalactic is coming into focus — but slowly.

A 2027 reveal means a release is likely 2028 at the earliest. The two TLOU projects remain a mystery.

Naughty Dog is cooking. We just have to wait.
